I spend way too much time playing XBox 360 NBA 2K17 My Career. There it is. Out in the open.

My Career player is Josh Crockett, nicknamed the “Doctor” because he now has a degree in Psychiatry which he practices during the off-season. He earned the degree during the offseason of his eight years now in the NBA.

Purely make believe just like my novels and short stories. I could make this a novel, but I was warned long ago that it wouldn’t sell. Maybe I’ll make it a novel anyway because it would fit my brochure. None of my self published novels sell. It could be part of my series: Novels that don’t have a market.

I enjoy it because I love basketball. I have played; still do occasionally. I have coached. I enjoy the My Career because of my lust for the fictional world as it intersects with reality. It’s my left brain interacting with my right brain wrapped in a security blanket of the sport I love best.

Now, excuse me while I go play My Career in NBA 2K17 on XBox 360.
