What animals make the best/worst pets?
This is a tough question for me to answer. I personally prefer cats and dogs as pets. Yet, I would care for multiple pets and animals depending where I live. If on a farm, dogs and cats, cows and horses, sheep are nice, chickens, pigs. In a cabin in the woods, I try to make friends with deer, hawks, fox, and wolves.
I don’t currently own a dog, but I have and would now if I thought I could give one a proper home. We have three cats living in our house, but I’m not sure who owns whom when I think about our interactions. We have a bird feeder that is also enjoyed by a sneaky red squirrel from time to time.
Stray cats visit at least one every day and regulars to our home get fed and watered. Late in the evenings, I often watch a rugged raccoon and an obese opossum check our front porch to see if food and water might be available. I enjoy every visitor, not one more than the other.
They say your pets expose your personality type. So, either I have no personality, I adhere my personality to with whomever I’m near, or I have multiple personalities.
I’m going with the later. One of my personalities asks why I even attempted to answer this prompt. One says rewrite it totally differently. I hear myself say a rewrite is not worth the trouble. Something is telling me publish – something is better than nothing.
