What’s the most fun way to exercise?
I think the most fun way to exercise is doing it with grandchildren. Whether playing sports, riding bikes, swimming, hiking or just walking, physical activity done with grandchildren is never a drudgery, usually a special memory, always pleasurable.
Yesterday, I helped a grandson move into an apartment on a second story. It was the best exercise and an experience I won’t soon forget. I’ve walked through museums, festivals, haunted houses for hours accumulating thousands of steps enjoying every step.
There have been pitch and catch with baseballs, footballs, pillows, stuffed animals for hours while giggling and laughing often. I remember drop-the-food-filled spoon bending and squatting hundreds of times accompanied by hilarious shrieks of joy.
The miracle of exercising body parts with grandkids is that I don’t remember feeling pain and even while writing about it now, I experience pure pleasure.
